Working, living and continually learning on the traditional təmxʷúlaʔxʷ (homeland) of the Sinixt peoples.
It is important to give acknowledgment and support to the peoples who have cared for and tended this land before White Settlers came and claimed the land for themselves, declaring the Sinixt extinct. As this land would not be so bountiful and spirit-full without their continuous tending and care for time immemorial.
This land has also been care for, loved by and home to the Ktunaxa peoples, the Syilx peoples, and the Secwepemc peoples.
