The Self Temperature Reading is a series of journal prompts done daily to nurture connection and awareness of the self.
It is a modified version of the couples Temperature Reading process by Virginia Satir.
In this self awareness activity people answer questions about themselves and their experience in each of 5 categories. Including appreciations, complaints, confusions & questions, new information, and hopes & wishes.
It helps us process and integrate our experiences and help to bring to the forefront what may be lingering in the back of our minds.
It is best done daily, and suggested to be done at least a few times a week. It is a very helpful process of guided questioning that can be done throughout life, or in particularly challenging times and put down and picked up again when needed.
Time to complete this Self Temperature Reading may vary, but generally takes 10-30 minutes to complete.
